Terms of Use (EULA) — tafakkur

By downloading or using tafakkur ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Apple's standard EULA also applies; these terms add to it and, where they conflict, the stricter consumer-protective term governs.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with Apple's App Store Terms and the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA": https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/).

2. Subscriptions and purchases

The App offers a 3-day free trial, after which continued use requires either an auto-renewable subscription or, where offered, a one-time "Lifetime" purchase.

• Auto-renewable subscriptions (monthly and yearly): payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• Free trial: any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
• Lifetime: a one-time, non-consumable purchase granting continued access; it is not a subscription and does not renew.
• Manage or cancel any time in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Prices are shown in the App before purchase and may vary by region.
• All payments are processed by Apple; we do not handle or store payment details. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

3. Nature of the content — important

tafakkur is a devotional aid, not a source of religious rulings (fatwa) or a substitute for scripture or scholarship.

• The on-screen messages are gentle, first-person renderings of the meaning of a cited Qur'an verse — they are not a verbatim translation of the Qur'an and must not be treated as the literal words of revelation. Verse citations are provided so you can read the original.
• Prayer times are calculated estimates produced from your location and your chosen calculation method via a third-party service (Aladhan). They may differ from your local mosque or authority. Please verify prayer times with a trusted local source; do not rely on the App as your sole authority.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, reverse-engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it in any unlawful way.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law, including as to accuracy of prayer times or availability of the third-party prayer-times service. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, or from reliance on prayer times. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Apple-specific terms (required)

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and the Publisher only, not with Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the App, and any claims relating to the App are directed to the Publisher. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms; the updated version is posted here with a revised effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
